Free Harmonic Backtesting Tools for MT5 — Backtest 30 Pairs × 8 Timeframes
The FxMath Harmonic Hunter Free Backtest Panel sweeps up to
30 forex pairs & metals × 8 timeframes through your MT5 history and simulates
every finished harmonic trade — entry touch, stop-loss and the three Fibonacci take-profits —
with the exact same ZigZag engine as the paid suite. No license. No limits. It never places a single trade.
One free panel. Four tools inside.
Instead of four separate downloads, the free panel packs the whole validation toolkit into a
single on-chart EA with a GUI. Choose the mode at the top and press Run.

interactive charts and tables. 100% in your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
The 14 harmonic patterns tested
what you backtest here is exactly what you would trade live.
Honest by design
- ✅ A trade exists only after point D finishes on a closed bar — no look-ahead, no hindsight patterns.
- ✅ Stop-loss =
0.05 × CD· TP1 =0.38 × AD· TP2 =0.618 × AD· TP3 =0.786 × AD. - ✅ Inside each bar the stop is checked first — a bar that touches both SL and TP counts as a loss.
- ✅ A trade only counts if SL or TP resolves within the configured look-ahead bars.
- ✅ Point-based pip distances; no spread/swap model — treat results as a relative comparison between patterns, pairs and settings.
Install & run in 3 minutes
Download the file
Grab the .ex5 from the green button above — one file contains all three tools, no installer.
Copy it into your MT5 data folder
File → Open Data Folder, then drop it into MQL5\Experts\. (Source? Put the .mq5 there and press F7.)
Allow DLL imports — required once
Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → tick Allow DLL imports, and tick it in the EA properties too. The panel guides you — it stops and shows the exact steps if it’s off.
Attach & run
Drag the EA onto any chart, pick Backtest / Batch Finder / Batch Shooter, set your pairs and timeframes, press Run. Works in small time slices, so your chart stays responsive.
downloaded history — just attach and press Run. The chart needs enough history; the tools prime each symbol/timeframe automatically.

probabilistic tools, not guarantees. Backtest results depend on your broker’s history quality, spread
assumptions and the bar range chosen; the tool uses point-based pip distances and does not model spread or
swaps. Treat any result as a relative comparison, then confirm on a demo account before risking money.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Trade responsibly.
