The Edge — Winners Larger Than Losers
- Average winning trade: +$9.91
- Average losing trade: −$7.35
- Win-to-loss size ratio: 1.35 : 1
- Risk protocol: Disciplined 1:2 R:R · No Martingale · No Grids · One position per timeframe
With a designed 1:2 risk-to-reward ratio, the system only needs to win roughly 1 out of every 3 trades to break even. Even when the win rate lands at a coin-flip 50.0%, the larger average winner keeps the book in profit — exactly what happened today, where a flat 17–17 record still produced +434.3 pips and a 1.35 profit factor.
Timeframe Analysis
M5 — The Workhorse
24 trades, 13 wins and 11 losses, for a 54.2% win rate and +684.2 pips. A profit factor of 2.53 was the strongest of the day, driven by a tight average loss of −$4.07 against an average win of +$8.71. M5 scalping generated more than 1.5x the net pips of every other timeframe combined.
M15 — The Precision Book
7 trades, 4 wins and 3 losses, for a 57.1% win rate and +300.6 pips. The highest win rate of the day and a profit factor of 2.20. M15 also booked the largest average win on the board at +$13.80, showing the higher-intraday edge remains healthy.
H1 & H2 — Small, Contained Losses
The two higher timeframes closed 3 trades between them, all losers, for a combined −550.5 pips. Crucially, each was a single position with a fixed stop — there was no averaging down and no compounding drawdown. The damage was capped and the overall session still finished firmly in the green.
The strategy does not rely on winning every trade. It relies on one clean position per timeframe, a fixed stop, and winners that are larger than losers. Today’s 17–17 split is the clearest possible demonstration.
